Snapshots From The Studio:Update: January 20th, 1998: |
This update will contain no snapshots since we are still in the process of recording acoustic rhythm and lead vocal tracks. For anyone who hasn't seen this process, there is a series of snapshots taken December 10, 1997 showing the details.

To date, these lead vocal and acoustic rhythm tracks are finished and mixed: |

The story of "To Be Alive" continues from the "Forgotten Songs & Unsung Heroes" LP of 1972, with the addition of 3 new sections of lyric added after the third verse. The above 7 songs, plus the basic track of "Ain't That A Shame" gives us 8 of the songs that will comprise the CD, with more songs to be recorded beginning in February.
We are deliberately recording the acoustic & vocal tracks first, in order to maintain the "let's sit around on the porch and jam" feel that the CD is taking on. This approach assures that each song will stand on it's own, and that any additional overdubbing of instruments will be 'supportive' of the lyrics and melodies already recorded.
More updates coming....
